Good news from the UK. J&L Grubb Ltd. Ireland's original farmhouse blue cheesemakers since 1984, have just launched their Cashel Blue pre-pack in 305 UK branches of J. Sainsbury as part of an overall cheese category range review.

Cashel Blue is the only Irish Farmhouse cheese to feature in this range and this opportunity represents a great chance for the Grubb's of Tipperary to introduce their cheese to a wider UK audience base. Today over a third of the companies product is exported to the UK with intentions to grow sales to the UK to 50% of their production capability.

Cashel Blue currently holds the title of Best Irish Cheese, from the 2009 World Cheese Awards and has just been awarded the top UK Speciality Food award of Gold Three Stars from the foodie of foodie accolades: The Guild of Fine Foods, Great Taste Awards.
