Congratulations to Helen Finnegan of Knockdrinna Farmhouse Cheese, a Channel Clusters Programme participant, who celebrated the first anniversary of her farm shop and restaurant in Stoneyford, Co. Kilkenny on the 4th of July 2010.

Helen, whose award winning sheep’s and goat’s cheeses have been building quite a reputation since she started the business 6 years ago, identified an important business opportunity in bringing visitors to the family farm to see artisan cheese making in action. The open day event, held in wonderful sunshine, included a small farmer’s market and activities for children, as well as cheese tastings.
