The IEA is the representative body for exporters in Ireland. Our mission is to seek easy access for companies to export markets, to drive down costs and eliminate risks for companies and secure maximum government support to open up export markets. The IEA is a membership organisation and the membership profile encompasses all sectors of the economy and all sizes of companies from SMEs to multinationals. Food and Drink is one of the key areas. There are many benefits to membership: Programmes: Channel Clusters us the development programe that provides a complete package of assistance, over 12 months, for SME food companies, including extensive business development mentoring, group seminars, exhibition participation, study tour and export sales advise. Celtic Recipes is a 3 day programme designed to identify, develop and share best marketing practice with Irish food and drink manufacturers. Both programmes use mentors selected by the IEA. Clinics: The IEA runs a number of regular clinics to assist companies in areas such as export sales, branding, finding new channels, digital communications. The Food and Drink Council: This is a forum of indigenous food and drink companies that meets quarterly to discuss issues relevant to their businesses. Presentations by third party companies are made at each meeting on themes relevant to the Council. Meetings run for 2 hours with refreshments served afterwards. New industry attendees are welcome to attend. Training Courses: These are run by the Institute of International Trade of Ireland (IITI), which is a branch of the IEA and there are discounts for members. These courses cover various aspects of exporting including Customs Compliance, Movement of Dangerous Goods by Sea and International Trade and E-Business. Events: IEA members have many opportunities to network, meet peers and improve their knowledge of international trade. Bi-lateral Associations: We work closely with many bi-lateral associations including the Ireland China Association, Ireland Japan Association, Asia Trade Forum, Ireland Gulf Association and Ireland Russia Association. Visa and Legalisation Service: We do all the work and courier your visa straight to you, saving you time when you're planning your international visits. Expertise: We have the answers to any export related query and we wil respond quickly and thoroughly.
