There was a strong turnout at the launch of the IEA's ‘Export Ireland Survey 2011 and International Trade Finance Review’ publication took place at 5pm on Wednesday 23rd November.  This publication was kindly sponsored by Grant Thornton and the launch took place at Grant Thornton's head office at 24-26 Cuty Quay, Dublin 2.

The third in the series of 'Cashflow Solutions For Exporters' seminars took place in the Radisson Hotel, Ditchley House, Little Island, Cork on Wednesday, 30th November 2011.  These three events were run in association with Ulster Bank.

The third in the series of Channel Clusters dissemination seminars took place on Wednesday 2nd November 2011 in Teagasc Ashtown, Dublin 15. This follows the 2 previous seminars that were held recently - on in Dublin on 23rd September and the other in Cork on 19th October.

The second in the series of Channnel Clusters dissemination seminars took place in the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cork Airport on Wednesday 19th October. There were 5 speakers at the seminar.

The Irish Exporters Association partnering with Ulster Bank launched the publication: “Passport to New Markets: A Guide to Growing Your Business Internationally” by Tánaiste Eamonn Gilmore T.D. on Friday 21st October 2011.  The event took place at the head office of Ulster Bank Ireland Limited, George's Quay, Dublin 2. 

The publication, produced by the Irish Exporters Association and supported by Ulster Bank is designed to help companies realize their overseas opportunities fully and help them on the path to international success.

A copy of the publication was available to attendees. This event was free to attend.

The Irish Exporters Association, in association with Deloitte, ran a 'Customs and Trade Seminar' on Tuesday 25th October 2011 between 1.30pm and 5.00pm. The venue was the Deloitte Academy, Deloitte & Touche House, Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin 2. Please see agenda below: 

A series of 3 workshops on the subject of 'Cashflow Solutions for Exporters' will be held around the country over the coming weeks.  The first one takes place in the Davenport Hotel on Thursday 13th October. This Breakfast Briefing, on the subject of 'Agri-food Exports to Russia' took place on Wednesday, 21st September 2011 at 7.30am to 10.30am. The venue was Investec's office at the Harcourt Building, Harcourt Street, Dublin 2.

The Ireland Russia Business Association ran an information seminar on the opportunities for business in Russia and how to start the process of engaging with this dynamic market of 150 million consumers (60 million internet users) on the afternoon of Wednesday 14th September 2011. The venue was Westpark Conference Centre, Shannon Free Zone, Shannon (www.westparkshannon.com/contact-us.php) and the event ran from 2pm to 5.15pm.  

Due to the success of the 'Breaking into UK Foodservice' clinic on Thursday 21st July, the IEA ran this again on Thursday 25th August.

Jane Newbigging of Context Business Solutions met 6 companies on that date for individual one to one meetings. She gave each an overview of the UK Foodservice industry and offered advice and direction.

This clinic is designed for companies who are new to UK Foodservice, recent entrants or those that have not fully explored the channel. The IEA will run a further one to one clinic with Jane shortly. Details to follow.

The IEA held a clinic on Thursday July 21st on 'Opportunities in UK Foodservice'. Jane Newbigging of Context Business Solutions met 7 companies in the IEA Boardroom in Merrion Square for one hour each to discuss UK Foodservice with them and offer guidance and direction to them.

This clinic was free to members of the IEA. 

The Irish Exporters Association Top 250 Exporters Publication” launch event took place on Wednesday 27th July 2011 at The Royal College of Physicians, No 6 Kildare Street, Dublin 2.

This event was very well attended and was kindly supported by Investec.  The event ran from 9.00 to 10.30am with continental breakfast served from 8.30am.

The IEA held a clinic on Monday July 18th on the theme of 'Breaking into UK Farmshops and Independent Delis', as part of the Channel Clusters programme. The Welsh mentor, Lori Whinn, travelled over to give companies an understanding of this channel. The event took place in the IEA Boardroom in Merrion Square.

The Ireland China Association (ICA), in its capacity as one of the bilateral associations based within the Irish Exporters Association, invited companies to the promotion conference of the 110th Session of China Import and Export Fair, otherwise known as Canton Fair within China, the largest and most established import and export tradeshow in China. This conference took place on Wednesday, 15th June 2011.

This Seminar took place on Thursday 9th June in Grant Thornton's head office at 24-26 City Quay, Dublin 2.  

On Thursday 9th June the Irish Exporters Association offered members an opportunity to have a free 60 minute one-to-one market entry clinic with our new strategic partner, Gateway Baltic. Inese Andersone, CEO of Gateway Baltic assists Irish businesses entering the Nordic, Baltic (including Russian) markets.

This business networking event took place on Wednesday 13th April 2011 in Enterprise Ireland, Eastpoint Business Park, Dublin 3.  The aim of the event was to give delegates an overview of the business opportunities available for Irish exporters of goods and services in India. The session was also used to brief attendees on the up-coming Enterprise Ireland trade mission to India.

The first Cork Food Forum of 2011 took place on Wednesday February 16th 2011 in Inchydoney Lodge and Spa Hotel in Clonakilty from 6 to 9pm. The IEA held a very successful sales training seminar for food and drink companies in the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cork Airport on Thursday November 4th. The title of the event was called Sales Training and Market Information Seminar.  In total, 20 food companies sent representatives and the overwhelming response was very positive. The sales trainer, Russell Ferguson, was the keynote speaker and he gave the attendees a thorough overview of the principles of selling and the various different selling scenarios.

On Tuesday 7th of September, the IEA brought a delegation of food companies on the Channel Clusters programme to London to visit 6 speciality food stores. A delegation of food companies from Wales also took part in this study tour. The stores visited were Fortnum and Masons, Selfridges, Wholefoods, Union Market, John Lewis Foods Hall (Oxford St) and Source Market (Kings Cross).

BWG have confirmed that the Meet the Buyer Day with the five companies on the Channel Clusters Programme will take place on Tuesday June 8th in Citywest Hotel. BWG have confirmed they will meet each of the companies on a one to one basis at this launch day and will give a full overview of their business and all aspects to doing business with them.

The 5 companies in the cluster are JM Food Services, Dunhill Cuisine, Kyles Kitchen, McEvoy Foods and Stable Diet.
